THE FOLLOWING EVENTS TOOK PLACE SOMETIME IN APRIL

1964--Release in Sweden of The Beatles' single, Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand / Sie Liebt Dich (Odeon). The songs are German-language versions of I Want to Hold Your Hand / She Loves You.

1969--Paul McCartney remains keen for The Beatles to perform live, wanting to make a series of unannounced appearances at small clubs. George Harrison and Ringo Starr have some interest in the proposition, but John Lennon is adamantly against it. By the following fall, John will tell Paul that he wants a divorce from The Beatles, "Like my divorce from Cynthia." Although John's intentions to leave The Beatles were pretty clear, they were kept secret while Allen Klein negotiated a higher royalty with Capitol Records in the US. Klein gets The Beatles a royalty of 69¢ per album sold, a record-setting amount. Klein's hopes that this would win over Paul McCartney were in vain, however.

Ringo Starr's Rotogravure LP.1976--Ringo Starr begins recording songs for his Ringo's Rotogravure LP. During the sessions, which continue into May, John Lennon assists Ringo in the recording of John's song Cookin' (in the Kitchen of Love). This will be Lennon's final studio work until the Double Fantasy sessions in 1980.

1977--UK release of Percy "Thrills" Thrillington (Paul McCartney) single, Uncle Albert / Admiral Halsey / Eat at Home (EMI). These are instrumental versions of songs from the Paul and Linda McCartney Ram LP.

1984--US release of the unauthorized double LP Reflections and Poetry (Silhouette Music). It contains the first release of excerpts from John Lennon's interview on December 8, 1980, recorded by RKO Radio. It also contains recordings of Lennon reading poetry (previously released). The album is withdrawn after Yoko Ono files legal action.

1987--US release of The Beatles' interview LP, Moviemania! (Cicadelic). Additional previously unreleased interviews recorded in the Bahamas during the filming of "Help!" in February and March 1965.
